In late 2005, Yuval Dror approached MHA Institute asking if he could translate the Navigating Through Complexity: Systems Thinking Guide into Hebrew. Yuval wanted to use the MHA approach with managers in Israel. Yuval has translated the materials and is now testing both the materials and the approach with managers. Yuval Dror is a Manager and Consultant to senior management in organizational and business development and change. He has wide experience of training and supervising staff, whole scale change intervention, training and leading workshops, learn fast and is good at energizing organizations toward change. He formed a Management and Organization Development Company UPGRADE registered in Israel, in 1997, of which he was a partner and Associate Manager. Yuval has facilitated the establishment of strategic goals, planning, control, human resource development, leadership development and integrating staff work and head-office processes in wide variety of industries.
Yuval specialized in developing knowledge management and learning from experience, which was his main subject of the Doctoral studies. Recently, Yuval specialized in large group interventions such as Open Space, Future Search and 21st Century Town Meeting' which help citizens to influence decisions regarding their life. Yuval’s management and training experience was greatly enhanced by service in the Israeli Defense Forces (IDF), where he attained the rank of Lt. Colonel. He held such posts as: Head of Organizational Development in the Planning Division for the Chief of Staff (1993-1996), Chief Psychologist for the Field Forces (1990-1993), and the Head of the Organizational Development Branch in the Personnel Division of the Army (1985-1989) where he also gained experience in managing HR. Yuval was working extensively in industries such as Finance, Government, Non-profit, High-Tech, Production & Manufacturing and Hospitality & Tourist industry.
Yuval and his family lived in Switzerland for four years since his wife – then, a senior manager of British Airways, relocated. While in Switzerland Yuval was working on his doctoral studies and later Yuval was awarded a Doctorate of Business Administration, in the University of South Australia and Swiss Business School (SBS). He has an MA degree in Social Psychology from Tel Aviv University (1985) and he is a certified Psychologist. Following his wife moving to manage El Al Airlines’ business in North America the family moved to Manhattan in summer 2003, where Yuval was teaching Management in Baruch College. In summer 2005, the family moved back to Israel. In Israel Yuval is teaching several courses in the master degree program in behavioral sciences in the Management College as well as Change Management courses in the National Security College. He is also involved in several research & development projects while practicing his own consulting business.
